Hello friends !!!

 

          You all might be thinking who is the person staring at you. He is, ofcourse not me, but a living legendry, in my words "A Cultural Crusader", who, by  his  bombastic and torpedoic interpretations, changed the whole world of Anthropological science. And he is none other than Mr. Clifford James Geertz.

          Myself, Srikant Nair, 3rd year Law student from Hidayatullah National Law University. There are two reasons behind creation of this site. Firstly, everyone else has a web site, so I figured, why not me too? and secondly, when i was given my project topic for Sociology, I, came across a interesting personality, Mr.Clifford Geertz and his ideas and interpretations influenced me a lot ,and this is the major driving force behind the making of this site. Today 23rd August, 2004, the day when Geertz turned 78 and on this eve i would like to officially publish this site and  I dedicate this site to Mr. Clifford Geertz. The primary objective of this site is to let you all know about the person called Geertz and his mind blowing interpretations of culture.
